Saturday Update 10/09/2016

222 people received this weeks groceries at Amazing Grace Food Pantry Saturday, including 14 new clients.

Clients come from all areas, mostly from Collin County:
103 from Wylie, 74 from nearby towns such as Lavon, Nevada, Princeton, McKinney and Plano
45 from neighboring counties, we provide food but also provide locations of pantries closer to their home so they won’t have to spend the fuel to drive to Wylie.

A full team of 10 volunteers cheerfully served each client, mowed property, cleaned pantry and picked up bookshelves and desk donation for the new building. More updates on the building progress in the next few weeks, but it looks like foundation will be poured by end of October.

For those who would like to contribute towards the huge step, visit our Donation Page to find out how you can help. It’s a worthy cause!

Here are a few specific items we’re looking for to help us in the new building…

pallet racks
double sided gondola’s (grocery store shelving)
A/C units
build out materials such as sheet rock and 2×4’s
