Wes Client Testimonial image

Wes

Wes has a family of 3, with additional 3 grandchildren during the summer months.

He suffered a broken neck 20 years ago which left him partially paralyzed but was able to work delivering pizza for a long time. He lost his job 5 years ago due to his disability and was without food until he found Amazing Grace Food Pantry to meet this need. His condition as declined this year, one leg is now powerless.

With the pantry’s new building being ADA compliant, Wes has easy access to shop for groceries.

Sherri testimonial image

Sherri

I was introduced to Amazing Grace Food Pantry through a Love Your City Day our church put together. I was so impressed with the efficiency and care that was given to the donations and to those who came to receive a blessing from Amazing Grace.

I quickly knew this is where God was directing me to volunteer. I wanted it to be more than just an event, I wanted it to be a tangible way to make a difference. Being retired I want to give back not only to my church but also my community. We have lived in this community for over 50 years.

I brought both my Grandchildren to volunteer with me and as we left for the day they both asked to come back and do this again. Teach a child the ways they should go. It becomes a special time with their NaeNae.

I know this will be a family affair for us and many teachable moments for God to grow our compassion for others. Thank you Amazing Grace Food Pantry for being God’s hands and feet and allowing us to participate.

Pam Fischer

Pam Fischer

Pam has had a series of strokes and is applying for disability, a long process. In the meantime, Amazing Grace Food Pantry has given her hope. Her utilities were often cut off for nonpayment until she started coming to this pantry. She says the pantry “is truly a God send” and provides nutrition and variety to so many who would otherwise go without.

To donors and supporters…

God bless you all, and Thank you.

Rosie Pruitt

Rosie Pruitt

Rosie comes to Amazing Grace Food Pantry every week and loves all the fresh vegetables available. She appreciates the dedication of the friendly volunteers carrying her food to the car in any kind of weather.

If it wasn’t for this pantry, I wouldn’t have food, I wouldn’t survive.

Kimmy and Kids

Kimmy

This single mother escaped human trafficking a few years ago. Kimmy and the kids lived in a shelter until she found a full time job. She still struggles to make ends meet and provide nutritional meals for her 3 children ages 9, 11, 12. She and the kids love coming to Amazing Grace Food Pantry where there is no judgement, just lots of love and nutritional food.

The noticeable difference in the kids attitude and helpfulness stems from good food and good neighbors like this pantry helping them through the tough times.

Card from Lisa (Roja) to Nancy 6-30-2018 - Pampered Chef party

Lisa (Roja)

This was written to one of our dedicated volunteer Team Leads who hosted a Pampered Chef party fundraiser for the pantry.

The small corners of our world are better by the efforts of people like you. Thank you. I’m glad Laura mentioned this to me so I could not only support you, but more importantly give you a hug. Hope today is a roaring success.

Love, Lisa

Happy Birthday Brooklyn

Brooklyn

Brooklyn held her 9th birthday party at Amazing Grace to help the community.

Thank you for allowing Brooklyn and her friends come to Amazing Grace on Saturday. It was so impactful and I think the girls left with a feeling of not only gratitude for what they have but also with a feeling of empowerment, knowing that they can help contribute and make a difference. I appreciate you taking the time to let them know about the work you do and why our community is in need of a food pantry. Thank you for all you do for our community and for opening your doors to us. May God continue to bless you and those you serve.

With gratitude,
Jenn

Patti

I’m so thankful to God, to Amazing Grace Food Pantry and their volunteers.  Because I have fallen on hard times and have financial trouble.  Amazing Grace Food Pantry is always here to help, they are a blessing.

Vickie

My daughter, her 2 girls and myself have been coming to Amazing Grace Food Pantry for around a year.  We live in Josephine.  Amazing Grace Food Pantry has been very helpful to our family.  We have a hard time making ends meet.  The food we receive has helped us from going hungry some months.  Our pets as well.  This is the only place I know that helps with pet food.  You also give fresh vegetables and fruit.  The staff is always so kind and polite, especially Reggie.  He is always nice to us.  Thank you for all you do for us and the community.

Ruth

Amazing Grace Food Pantry is the best!  Thank God!  I have 4 kids and trying to make it work, but sometimes I need help.  So glad you all are here!
