Amazing Grace Food Pantry has a new and unexpected guest last month.

Christopher lost his job, his car, his phone, and now with unemployment funds depleted, he’s homeless. He walked to Amazing Grace Food Pantry on a Friday, one of our stocking days and not our regular client service day.

Our community partners are so amazing! St Vincent De Paul found him a motel for a couple nights while he waited for an interview at Samaritan Inn. By God’s grace and mercy, He prepared a way for Christopher. He now has shelter, food, a donated bicycle and 2 job interviews lined up.

Thank you SVDP for your prompt action to help this new community friend in need! We may all be in the same storm, but not in the same boat. It takes all of us to help others in need – however God leads you.

Amazing Grace Food Pantry is exclusively a volunteer organization, relying upon the talent and generosity of community members to procure, sort and distribute over 30 TONS of food every month to area families. This monumental undertaking is only possible due to the altruism and support received each and every week from people just like you.

  • Do you have some free time on your hands?
  • Do you enjoy helping those in need?
  • Do you want to give back in some way that really changes the quality of life for someone?

We also welcome volunteer groups! If your church, youth or corporate group would like to schedule a day to volunteer as a team building exercise, or to regularly adopt group-size tasks (e.g. yard work, improvements, cleanup, etc.), we’d love to hear from you! Call (972) 292-7241 to leave a voicemail message or use use the contact form on our Volunteer page.

No time to volunteer? That’s okay, too! Visit our Donation page to arrange a monthly donation. No amount is too small!

I was introduced to Amazing Grace Food Pantry through a Love Your City Day our church put together. I was so impressed with the efficiency and care that was given to the donations and to those who came to receive a blessing from Amazing Grace.

I quickly knew this is where God was directing me to volunteer. I wanted it to be more than just an event, I wanted it to be a tangible way to make a difference. Being retired I want to give back not only to my church but also my community. We have lived in this community for over 50 years.

I brought both my Grandchildren to volunteer with me and as we left for the day they both asked to come back and do this again. Teach a child the ways they should go. It becomes a special time with their NaeNae.

I know this will be a family affair for us and many teachable moments for God to grow our compassion for others. Thank you Amazing Grace Food Pantry for being God’s hands and feet and allowing us to participate.
