A late night of cleaning with NCL

December 12th, 2023|Categories: Latest News|Comments Off on A late night of cleaning with NCL

It was a late night of cleaning at Amazing Grace Food Pantry this week with the help of the local National Charity League.

What a great group of Mother & Daughter teams working together in the community to build support for our pantry and build relationships with each other!

Come back anytime, NCL! Your enthusiasm is contagious!

Amazing Grace Food Pantry is exclusively a volunteer organization, relying upon the talent and generosity of community members to procure, sort and distribute over 60 TONS of food every month to area families. This monumental undertaking is only possible due to the altruism and support received each and every week from people just like you.

  • Do you have some free time on your hands?
  • Do you enjoy helping those in need?
  • Do you want to give back in some way that really changes the quality of life for someone?

We also welcome volunteer groups! If your church, youth or corporate group would like to schedule a day to volunteer as a team building exercise, or to regularly adopt group-size tasks (e.g. yard work, improvements, cleanup, etc.), we’d love to hear from you! Call (972) 292-7241 to leave a voicemail message or use use the contact form on our Volunteer page.

No time to volunteer? That’s okay, too! Visit our Donation page to arrange a monthly donation. No amount is too small!

Abby Doyle

I wanted to tell you how impressed and inspired by everyone there. The work could be pretty demanding yet the team there returned week after week to serve those in need. The organization and flow of everything was so smooth. I really appreciated the time of prayer as well. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be a part. I really enjoyed the work and the people. You all make me think of the song that talks about being the hands and feet of Jesus. Hopefully I’ll be able to serve again with y’all when my schedule is not so demanding.

““Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:37-40‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank you New Hope Christian Church

December 11th, 2023|Categories: Latest News|Comments Off on Thank you New Hope Christian Church

Our Friends and Partners at New Hope Christian Church surprised us with this generous donation!

This goes a long way to help serve the 14,000 people relying on Amazing Grace Food Pantry to supply nutritional food. Without this help, kiddos would go to bed hungry, have trouble focusing in school and be more at risk for health issues from poor diet.

Thank you New Hope Christian Church.

My daughter, her 2 girls and myself have been coming to Amazing Grace Food Pantry for around a year.  We live in Josephine.  Amazing Grace Food Pantry has been very helpful to our family.  We have a hard time making ends meet.  The food we receive has helped us from going hungry some months.  Our pets as well.  This is the only place I know that helps with pet food.  You also give fresh vegetables and fruit.  The staff is always so kind and polite, especially Reggie.  He is always nice to us.  Thank you for all you do for us and the community.

Purpose through volunteering

Let’s face it. We all seek purpose. Volunteering can renew your sense of purpose and compassion for others.

Thank you to all the great volunteers we’ve had this year. Every volunteer brings their smile, their compassion and their heart to serve those in need. From unloading and sorting incoming items, filling boxes with nutritional foods, to carrying out to assist those needing a little more help than food, our volunteer pantry family rises to meet the need.

Join us in growing to meet the challenges of the coming year. Gather your friends, family and coworkers for a New Year commitment to help those less fortunate. Schedule now for 2024 dates. You’ll be amazed at how your act of kindness impacts those around you!

Rich

Rich is a new family at Amazing Grace Food Pantry since COVID-19 hit. Job loss and no food – panic was starting to settle in until he found us!

Such a blessing that a place can give a family food for a week. I don’t know what would have happened if they weren’t there. We were out of everything when I went and all of a sudden we have food to eat, it was such a relief.
