Last week was raining and cold, but Amazing Grace Food Pantry still served 111 families with lots of fresh produce and groceries to make their Christmas dinner and week complete. The pantry had an added treat and gave out lots of stuffed animals this year.

Awesome teams of volunteers came this week to help stock shelves and serve the community. Thank you for taking time during your Christmas Break to help Fight Hunger Together! The kiddo’s energy and enthusiasm is contagious!

Thanks to the many organizations and families, St Anthony’s Catholic Church, Wells Fargo Advisors, Girl Scouts and Plano Pantry to name a few, who dropped off food donations this week making it possible to serve hundreds of families with nutritional food.

January is National Soup Month

Hunger doesn’t stop at Christmas. January is a rough month for those struggling to make ends meet with the higher heating bills. Drop off canned soup any Tuesday, Friday or Saturday 9am-11am to warm hearts and Fight Hunger Together!

I wanted to tell you how impressed and inspired by everyone there. The work could be pretty demanding yet the team there returned week after week to serve those in need. The organization and flow of everything was so smooth. I really appreciated the time of prayer as well. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be a part. I really enjoyed the work and the people. You all make me think of the song that talks about being the hands and feet of Jesus. Hopefully I’ll be able to serve again with y’all when my schedule is not so demanding.

““Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:37-40‬ ‭NIV‬‬
