The pantry served 57 families and received 2,000 lbs of donations from community grocery stores to be sorted and distributed.
Collin County communities are still suffering the aftermath of this year’s storms in addition to the many more experiencing food insecurity due to a myriad of circumstances that could affect any one of us at any time. The summer months are especially difficult for us as our aging building has poor insulation, limited capacity for cooling and simply is not adequate for the amount of food and the number of clients we serve… though we find ways to make it work! Now more than ever we need stability, and that stability comes from knowing we will have the funding available for both continuing to serve our clients and eventually building a new facility to better serve them (and so many more that need help!).
